MyGroceryPal

Use MyGroceryPal in ChatGPT and Claude

Last updated 7 November 2026.

Add MyGroceryPal to your AI assistant and it can answer grocery questions with real UK supermarket prices, checked every day across Tesco, Sainsbury's, ASDA, Aldi, Morrisons, Co-op, Waitrose, Iceland, B&M, Boots, Superdrug, Savers and Ocado.

What you can ask

Searching and price history work straight away. Comparing a basket and setting a deal alert ask you to connect a free MyGroceryPal account, so the alert reaches you by push notification or email like any other.

Add it to Claude

  1. Open Customize, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it MyGroceryPal, paste this address and continue: https://mygrocerypal.co.uk/api/mcp
  3. Under Authentication, Claude picks No sign-in because searching works without an account. Choose Sign in when needed instead.
  4. Under OAuth client, choose Use your own OAuth client and paste this client ID: tpc_n497TrbFJS1DT86nstehra. Leave the secret empty, then add the connector.

Claude asks you to sign in the first time you compare a basket or set an alert. If your Claude shows a single screen with Advanced settings instead, paste the same client ID there.

Add it to ChatGPT

MyGroceryPal is on its way to ChatGPT's app directory. Once it is listed, you will find it there by name.

Other assistants and tools

Any app that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth can use the same address and client ID. The server is listed in the official MCP Registry as uk.co.mygrocerypal/grocery-prices.

What it shares

Your assistant sends us only what it needs to answer: the product you searched for, or the products in your basket. We do not keep your searches. Answers carry prices and links back to MyGroceryPal, never product photos or descriptions. The privacy policy has the detail, and you can disconnect in your assistant's settings at any time.
